Captains Courageous – Rudyard Kipling

Captains Courageous is Rudyard Kipling’s novel about Harvey, the spoiled brat child of a fabulously rich father, who falls overboard from a luxury liner. Pulled from the water unconscious by a fishing boat, he tries to convince the captain that he is the son of a very rich father who will pay him handsomely to return Harvey to his father. Not believing Harvey’s claim, the captain continues his month’s-long fishing voyage, and Harvey is pressed into service.
